Unart

I’m never a fan of installation art though many people consider it to be one of the most interesting parts of exhibitions in the way that you can interact in person and get loads of instagrammable photos taken. Not being harsh I do think sometimes when you are not trained to understand the exhibition or it just doesn’t evoke your emotions, it’s justifiable to have a simple mind and enjoy the installment as in an adult entertainment park.

I’ve never heard of michealagelo pistoletto before bumping into his exhibition but from a short read of wikipedia he is one of the main representatives of Italian Arte Povera. And the exhibition was about division and multiplication, accumulation and exclusion. Quoted from the ehibition introduction:”The mirror, presented in the structural form, is structured in self-reflecting forms that replicate into multiples. This multiplication presents not only in the large scaled Mirror cage as a visual phenomenon but also in the infinite reflections offered by Metrocubo d’infinito(Cubic Meter of Infinity) which is beyond the vision” -As impenetrable as all the other artwork introductions but nevermind-enjoy the fun

As for the title, I always find perks in puns and unart is the german word for ‘bad habit’. Let’s say not being artsy enough is one of those.
